ThanMail Privacy Policy

1. Introduction

This Privacy Policy sets out how ThanMail, use and protect your personal data that you provide to us, or that is otherwise obtained or generated by us, in connection with your use of the ThanMail application.

ThanMail has two fundamental principles when it comes to collecting and processing private data:

• We don't use your data to show you ads.
• We store in our servers error logs and the data that ThanMail needs to send you push notifications.

2. What Personal Data We Use

2.2. Gmail Data

ThanMail requests your permission to access your Gmail Data via OAuth.

After you accept the request, ThanMail behaves as an email client, scanning your contacts and other contacts folder, scanning your inbox and sent items, moving messages into the trash folder and sending new messages, on your behalf.

2.2. Gmail Scopes

ThanMail uses the next Gmail scopes:

We use the Users.threads API to scan for existing threads in your inbox and sent items folder.

We use the Users.history API to scan updates in your inbox and sent items folders.

We use the Users.messages API to retrieve specific messages and its attachments and to send new messages.

We use the Users.watch and Users.watch APIs to retrieve push notifications for Gmail.

3. Keeping Your Personal Data Safe

Most of the data related to ThanMail is stored in your smartphone using either an encrypted Realm database or encrypted data in the shared preferences database.

Your email, locale, platform and push token are stored in our servers. With this information, we can send you Gmail push notifications to your smartphone.

If ThanMail encountered an error, an error log is stored in our servers while omitting any personal information.

We don't store, transfer or send your data otherwise.

4. Who Your Personal Data May Be Shared With

We don't share your personal data at all.

5. Deleting data

The messages, contacts, and files associated with a deleted account in ThanMail are removed immediately from your smartphone.

If you no longer want to use ThanMail, uninstall it from your smartphone.

Your email, locale, platform data and push token will be deleted from our servers a few weeks later.

6. Google API Services Disclosure

ThanMail use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs will adhere to Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

7. Changes to this Privacy Policy

We will review and may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes to this Privacy Policy will become effective when we post the revised Privacy Policy on this page ThanMail Privacy Policy. Please check our website frequently to see any updates or changes to our Privacy Policy.
